Christopher Brown

Under the leadership of former police officer Christopher Brown, our firm draws on over 25 years of combined law enforcement and legal experience to secure high dismissal and success rates for our clients. My background as both an attorney and a former police officer provides a unique advantage in every case. Christopher Brown began his professional career after graduating from the Detroit Police Academy in 1996, serving the citizens of Detroit’s 7th Precinct before continuing his law-enforcement career with a suburban police department. During his tenure, he received three commendation awards for outstanding service in the line of duty and was nominated for Police Officer of the Year. These experiences shaped his deep understanding of investigative practices and constitutional policing—knowledge that now serves his clients in court.

Mr. Brown earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he excelled academically and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Police Civil Liability. He also completed a prestigious externship with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, assigned to the felony trial division, where he gained extensive courtroom and trial-advocacy experience assisting in the prosecution of serious felony cases, including homicide and other capital offenses.

In 2008, Mr. Brown founded his private practice, concentrating in the area of criminal defense. He has also served for over a decade as assigned counsel in the Oakland and Wayne County Circuit Courts, representing indigent defendants charged with felony offenses. His work as both a former officer and a seasoned defense attorney allows him to approach each case with a rare dual perspective—knowing how the system works from both sides of the law.
